Nigerian Comedian and Skit Maker Sanku Dies in Fatal Car Accident in Oyo State
Popular Nigerian comedian and skit creator Sanku has died following a car accident on Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State.
The crash, which took place in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025, left several passengers injured. Sanku and another victim were reportedly critically hurt, but the comedian was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Fellow skit maker Ozain Comedy confirmed the tragedy on his Instagram story, writing, “Rest well, soldier,” while influencer Jidex also paid tribute on TikTok with the caption, “Rest in peace.”
Sanku began his comedy career in 2021 and rose to prominence in 2024. His unique style and originality quickly earned him a dedicated online following, amassing over one million followers on TikTok.
Since the news of his passing, fans, influencers, and fellow entertainers have taken to social media platforms like X and Instagram to share tributes to the late skit maker.
