Passenger Forcibly Removed From Enugu Air Flight Sparks Online Outcry

Enugu State-owned commercial airline, Enugu Air, which began operations on Monday, July 7, has drawn widespread attention online after a passenger was forcibly removed from one of its flights.
A video circulating on social media shows officials dragging a male passenger off the aircraft. In the footage, a voice can be heard saying, “Yes, yes, go down,” indicating that some bystanders appeared to support the action.
The reason for the incident remains unclear. The passenger has not been identified, and neither Enugu Air nor the individual involved has issued a statement explaining what happened.
The plane, prominently displaying the Enugu Air logo, was filmed as the passenger was escorted away amid visible commotion.
The incident comes amid a series of high-profile airline confrontations in Nigeria, including Comfort Emmanson’s clash with flight attendants on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos, and a reported dispute involving King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, with ValueJet Airlines at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Online observers have drawn parallels between these events, raising concerns about passenger–airline interactions on domestic flights in Nigeria.
