Alms Distribution Turns Deadly as Youths Clash in Ado Ekiti, One Fatally Stabbed

A violent clash among youths in the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, has claimed the life of a yet-to-be-identified man who was fatally stabbed during the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation erupted shortly after a philanthropist arrived in the area to distribute alms to destitute residents. The money reportedly triggered a dispute among some of the youths, which quickly escalated into a deadly confrontation.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, SP Sunday Abutu, disclosed that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.
At the time of this report, security operatives had cordoned off the scene to forestall further violence and maintain public order.
