₦1.818 Trillion June Revenue Shared Among FG, States, LGAs – FAAC

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total sum of ₦1.818 trillion as revenue for the month of June 2025 to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Saturday by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation and signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa. The distribution took place at the FAAC meeting held in Abuja.
According to the statement, the ₦1.818 trillion total distributable revenue comprised the following components: ₦1.018 trillion as statutory revenue, ₦631.507 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), ₦29.165 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), ₦38.849 billion from Exchange Difference, and ₦100 billion from Non-Mineral revenue augmentation.
Quoting a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, it was revealed that the gross revenue available for June stood at ₦4.232 trillion. Deductions for cost of collection amounted to ₦162.786 billion, while ₦2.251 trillion was allocated to transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.
Gross statutory revenue for June was ₦3.485 trillion, representing an increase of ₦1.390 trillion compared to the ₦2.094 trillion recorded in May. However, VAT revenue dipped to ₦678.165 billion in June, down by ₦64.655 billion from the ₦742.820 billion generated in May.
From the total distributable revenue of ₦1.818 trillion:
- The Federal Government received ₦645.383 billion,
- State Governments got ₦607.417 billion,
- Local Government Councils received ₦444.853 billion,
- ₦120.759 billion was shared among oil-producing states as 13% derivation revenue.
Breakdown of the ₦1.018 trillion statutory revenue:
- Federal Government: ₦474.455 billion
- States: ₦240.650 billion
- Local Governments: ₦185.531 billion
- Oil-producing states: ₦118.256 billion (13% derivation)
From the ₦631.507 billion VAT revenue:
- Federal Government: ₦94.726 billion
- States: ₦315.754 billion
- Local Governments: ₦221.027 billion
From the ₦29.165 billion EMTL revenue:
- Federal Government: ₦4.375 billion
- States: ₦14.582 billion
- Local Governments: ₦10.208 billion
From the ₦38.849 billion Exchange Difference:
- Federal Government: ₦19.147 billion
- States: ₦9.712 billion
- Local Governments: ₦7.487 billion
- ₦2.503 billion shared as derivation revenue
From the ₦100 billion Non-Mineral Augmentation:
- Federal Government: ₦52.680 billion
- States: ₦26.720 billion
- Local Governments: ₦20.600 billion
The communiqué further noted that revenue from Companies Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) witnessed a significant rise in June, while proceeds from Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies recorded notable declines.
