Wolves Complete Signing of Nigeria Striker Tolu Arokodare From Genk

Wolves have finalized the signing of Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare from Genk on a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year.
The 24-year-old striker joins Molineux after an impressive spell in Belgium, where he won the Pro League Golden Boot last season by scoring 21 league goals and 23 in all competitions.
Arokodare began his football journey in Nigeria before moving to Europe with Latvian side Valmiera in 2019. At just 18, he made an immediate impact, scoring 22 goals in 34 appearances. He later gained experience in the Bundesliga with a loan at FC Köln and spent two seasons in Ligue 2 with Amiens, netting 21 times.
His move to Genk came in January 2023, and he quickly established himself, nearly helping the club to a Belgian Pro League title the following spring. In his first full season, he made 52 appearances, including seven in European competition, and scored 15 goals. Last season, he delivered his best performance yet, scoring 23 goals and providing seven assists, claiming the Golden Boot thanks to his superior away goal record.
Internationally, Arokodare has four caps for Nigeria and scored his first goal in June against Russia, having already helped the Super Eagles qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He made five appearances for Genk this season, scoring against Standard Liege, before making the move to the Premier League with Wolves.
