Taraba Graduate Cynthia Jonathan Dies In Jalingo Market Crash

Cynthia Jonathan, a graduate of Taraba State University, has tragically lost her life after a truck accident at the Mile 6 Market in Jalingo.

The fatal incident occurred on Friday, June 27, 2025, when a truck loaded with shaft sand suffered a tyre burst at high speed, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the busy market, striking Cynthia while she was in her shop.

Cynthia, who completed her national youth service two years ago, had been running a point-of-sale (POS) business in the market.

She was laid to rest on Saturday, June 28.
