Speed Darlington’s Former Lawyer Throws Shade With Cryptic Proverbs Amid Singer’s Controversy

Stan Alieke, the former legal counsel to controversial artist Speed Darlington, has stirred conversation online with a cryptic message following the public outrage sparked by the singer’s recent admission.
Recall that Speed Darlington faced intense criticism after a live video surfaced in which he claimed to have had an intimate encounter with a minor. Although he later retracted the statement, describing it as a publicity stunt, the backlash has continued to mount, with many Nigerians demanding his arrest and legal action.
Amid the ongoing controversy, Alieke took to social media to share a series of African proverbs that appeared to subtly reflect his thoughts on the situation.
He wrote:
“Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make m@d – African Proverb.
The fly that does not listen to advice will always follow the corpse to the grave – another African proverb.
Enough said.”
Though he did not mention Speed Darlington directly, the timing and tone of the post have led many to believe it was a response to the unfolding drama involving his former client.
