Peter Obi has paid tribute to the family of Ifesinachi Onyekere, the late Managing Director of Fish Magnet Outlet, who was kidnapped and killed by unidentified criminals in Amawbia, Anambra State.

In a post on his X page, Obi expressed his condolences to the victim’s mother, Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi, whom he visited to console over the tragic loss. He described Ifesinachi as a promising young entrepreneur whose death highlights the worsening insecurity in Nigeria.

“The Fish Magnet: We must not allow lawlessness to thrive,” Obi wrote. “Ifesinachi was a promising SME operator based in Awka. Tragically, he was kidnapped and later killed by yet-to-be-identified criminals who abandoned his remains in Amawbia. This shocking and senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the insecurity in our society.”
