PDP NEC Meeting Begins in Abuja Ahead of 2027 Strategic Plans

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced its meeting at the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja.
The session is being chaired by the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and is expected to focus on major issues, including preparations for the party’s elective national convention, where a new set of National Working Committee (NWC) members will be selected in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.
The NEC meeting kicked off shortly after the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting held at the same location.
In attendance are several prominent party figures, including Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, as well as Governors Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), and Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa).
The gathering is expected to help reposition the party and shape its internal structure ahead of future electoral contests.
