Osimhen Completes €75m Move to Galatasaray

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has officially sealed a permanent transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray in a blockbuster deal worth €75 million.
The club confirmed the highly anticipated move on Thursday, announcing that an agreement had been reached with his former club, SSC Napoli.
“Regarding the transfer of professional footballer Victor James Osimhen, an agreement has been reached with his club, SSCN Napoli SPA.
In this context, a net transfer fee of €75,000,000 will be paid to the player’s former club,” Galatasaray posted on their official social media platforms.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan with Galatasaray, signed a four-year contract with the reigning Turkish champions. Under the new deal, the 26-year-old will earn €15 million annually, in addition to a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million for image rights.
Galatasaray also revealed that Napoli will receive 10 per cent of any profit from Osimhen’s next transfer.
“Additionally, under the terms of the agreement, 10 per cent of the profit from the player’s next sale will be paid to SSCN Napoli SPA,” the club added.
Interestingly, the contract includes a clause that prevents the Nigerian striker from joining any Serie A club within the next two years.
Shortly after the deal was made public, Osimhen expressed his excitement about the move.
“I’m so happy to be a part of the Galatasaray family again. First of all, I want to thank my President and Vice President. We have a very positive team right now,” he told the club’s website.
“I’m so proud to be here. You know my quality from last season. I believe that next season, with the quality of both myself and my teammates, we will achieve even greater success with a much greater sense of belonging.”
“We will give our all on the pitch, not only in the league and cup, but also in the Champions League, one of our main goals,” he added.
Osimhen was instrumental in Galatasaray’s domestic dominance last season, scoring 37 goals and registering eight assists in 41 appearances as the team secured a league and cup double.
His permanent switch also brings an end to a tense two-year transfer saga with Napoli, during which he was frozen out of the squad at the start of last season due to ongoing disputes.
