Muyiwa Awoniyi, the longtime manager of Nigerian music star Omah Lay, has officially announced the end of their professional relationship.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Awoniyi wrote:
“With love and respect, I am no longer managing @Omah_Lay. That’s my brother and I wish him all the best in his endeavours for life!”

Though he did not reveal the reason behind the split, the tone of his message suggests an amicable parting. Awoniyi has been instrumental in Omah Lay’s rise to fame and also manages Grammy-winning singer Tems.

The news has sparked conversation among fans online, many of whom expressed surprise and appreciation for Awoniyi’s contributions to Omah Lay’s career.
