Oba Elegushi Foundation Empowers Hundreds Of Youth With Grants And Guidance

The Oba Saheed Elegushi Foundation Empowerment Initiative 2025 was a grand celebration of the monarch’s 15 years of impactful leadership.
Held at the Monarch Event Centre, Lekki, the event saw hundreds of young Nigerians empowered with grants and guidance, promoting socio-economic development in Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom and the Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
In her goodwill message, NYSC Lagos State coordinator, Mrs. Salmwang Christiana, emphasized the importance of using resources wisely to build a sustainable future. She encouraged the youth to make the most of the support provided through the Oba Elegushi Foundation, noting that the grants are a valuable opportunity for growth.
Motivational speaker and Nigerian media entrepreneur, Adebola Williams, inspired the audience with his message on the importance of hard work and vision. He encouraged the youth not to waste their resources but to focus on growth and opportunity, emphasizing the need to expand one’s mindset and not be limited by one’s current environment.
Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, added that success requires persistence and discipline. He praised Oba Elegushi for his contributions to youth empowerment and development, encouraging the attendees to use the resources provided wisely to create lasting change.
The Empowerment Initiative 2025 not only celebrated the monarch’s 15-year reign but also reinforced his deep commitment to youth development. The Oba Saheed Elegushi Foundation has consistently demonstrated its dedication to promoting socio-economic growth and empowering the youth in the community.
The event highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnership in driving positive change. The NYSC’s ongoing efforts to empower corps members with loans, skill training, and avenues for self-reliance were also acknowledged.
