NCS Charges Corps Members To Eschew Hard Drugs

The Narcotics and Controlled Substances (NCS) directorate of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has enlightened the 2024 Batch B stream two corps members on the dangers of drug abuse and its consequences.
The Chief Regulatory Officer of NAFDAC,Mr Akinsanya Abe sensitized the corps members on the complexities of drug abuse, emphasizing that it is a multifaceted problem that must be confronted on all fronts.

The representative warned of the dangers of drug abuse and the risks of taking medications not prescribed for one’s use.
He highlighted NAFDAC’s crucial role in regulating the import, export, and distribution of narcotic drugs, emphasizing the agency’s efforts to limit their use to medical and scientific purposes only.
He posited that there is danger in abusing drugs and taking drugs that were not prescribed by a medical practitioner.
According to the Regulatory Officer,the Narcotics and Controlled Substances Directorate ensures that drugs are available for medical, scientific, and industrial use, while preventing them from being misused or abused.
