Lagos Governor Urges 5578 Corps Members to Seize Knowledge Opportunities at Swearing-In Ceremony

_ _As 5578 Lagos Corps Members Are Sworn-In For Service

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu has called on the 2023 Batch “C” Stream II corps members deployed to Lagos State to take advantage of the knowledge and expertise of dedicated facilitators at the Orientation Course.

The Governor represented by the Honourable Commissioner for the Lagos State Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Honourable Olugbenga Oyerinde made the call at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja during the Swearing-In of Batch “C” Stream II corps members.

The Governor who encouraged the corps members to the training at the Orientation Camp with open mind and willingness to learn, enjoined them to embrace the diversity of experiences that their fellow corps members bring.

He said during the period of the course, they will undergo a rigorous but exciting training programmes which are designed to equip them with the tools they need to excel in their roles as agents of positive change in the society.

In her address, the State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa told the corps members that the call to join the service of the nation is a noble one.

She said, “you will be joining legions of Nigerians who have invested in the nation in patriotic missions. Therefore, you should avail yourselves of the opportunities provided by this course to be the better version of yourself.”

She added that the Lagos Orientation Camp is empowered to enable their dreams, prepare them for future challenges and hatch their potentials to maturity.

Meanwhile, the State Coordinator has called on Captains of Industries, and Corporate Lagos to use the platform of the orientation course to invest in the corps members so that they can a memorable once in a lifetime experience of the service to the nation.

As the mainstay of today’s programme, five thousand, five hundred and seventy-eight Prospective Corps Members deployed to Lagos State were sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Lagos State who was represented by Honourable Justice Mosunmola Balogun.
