Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has been discharged from the hospital following a minor road accident that occurred on Sunday while he was travelling from Katsina to Daura.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, medical experts have declared the Governor “completely fit” and cleared him to resume his official duties immediately.
The statement conveyed Governor Radda’s heartfelt appreciation to the people of Katsina State and Nigerians across the country for their prayers, support, and goodwill during his brief period of hospitalization.
“I am deeply touched by the overwhelming prayers and support from our people. This demonstration of love strengthens my commitment to serving Katsina State with renewed vigour and dedication,” Governor Radda was quoted to have said.
The accident, described as minor, occurred along the Daura-Katsina Road while the Governor was on official duty. Although it raised concern among citizens, the Governor’s spokesperson assured the public that Radda was in good health and had not sustained serious injuries.
Kaula Mohammed further confirmed that the Governor was in high spirits and grateful to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as to the people of Katsina for their concern.
Looking ahead, the Governor reiterated his focus on delivering his administration’s Building Your Future transformational agenda aimed at advancing the development and prosperity of Katsina State.
