“I’m Not Coming Back” – Speed Darlington Defies NAPTIP After Being Declared Wanted Over Rape and Cybercrime Allegations

Controversial singer Speed Darlington has reacted defiantly after the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) declared him wanted over allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
The agency took action after the musician confessed in a now-viral video on Instagram to having slept with a 15-year-old girl. Despite being invited for questioning, Speed Darlington failed to honour the summons, prompting NAPTIP to publicly declare him wanted.
In a fresh video posted on Monday via his Instagram page, the artist refused to submit himself to the agency, insisting he committed no crime. He accused NAPTIP of using his name for publicity and threatened legal action for defamation.
“NAPTIP, pay attention. All this ‘wanted’ stuff you posted everywhere—take that sh*t down. I’m not coming. Did you hear me? I’m not coming,” he said.
Claiming there is no complainant or evidence against him, he added, “I have not committed any crime. Irresponsible talk is not a crime. You want to use me to chase social media clout.”
Speed Darlington also argued that responding to the agency’s invitation should be treated as a paid appearance. “I charge N2.5 million for appearances. You must pay me and also cover round-trip tickets for me and my PA. I know you people have no evidence. All I did was try to trend. Going there is a waste of my time.”
He continued, “You’re only reacting because Nigerians were tagging you online. What is cyberstalking? Who did I stalk? Who did I mention?”
The singer concluded by denying wrongdoing and vowed to sue NAPTIP: “I said I slept with a 15-year-old girl—na crime? Where is the evidence? Remove my name from that list. Honestly, I’ll sue you for defamation. You’re damaging my name without proof.”
