According to Mr Basambo, an FRSC rescue team from Omu -Aran Unit Command was “immediately mobilised to the scene.”
He said preliminary investigations revealed that the Mitsubishi space waggon (en route to Ilorin), in an attempt to overtake a bus, collided with an oncoming Mack Trailer.
The incident resulted in the instant death of at least eight people, including one male, three females, and four children, while six others were injured.
