EBHA Speaker Felicitates with Izzi Nnodo on 2025 Ojiji Festival

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, has extended a heartfelt goodwill message to the sons and daughters of Izzi Nnodo Ekumenyi in celebration of the 2025 Ojiji Festival.
In a message made available to the press, the Speaker, on behalf of his family, constituents in Ikwo South, honourable members, floor functionaries, and the entire staff of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, congratulated the Izzi people on what he described as a “special occasion of cultural regale and thanksgiving.”
Describing the Ojiji Festival as “an extraordinary cultural regale with intense significance,” the Speaker noted that the festival symbolizes a season of harvests, new beginnings, and a time for communal joy and gratitude. He praised the Izzi people for their longstanding values of hospitality, integrity, resilience, and cultural pride.
“The people of Izzi are known for a high degree of hospitality, incontrovertible integrity, and a progressive spirit,” he said. “As you celebrate this special day, I implore you to keep sustaining the rich cultural heritage of Izzi Nnodo Ekumenyi.”
Rt. Hon. Odunwa also took the opportunity to commend the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI, GGCEHF, for his purposeful leadership and commitment to the state’s development.
In closing, he prayed for continued blessings and prosperity upon the people of Izzi Nnodo, assuring them of his support and warm wishes during the festival and beyond.
