DSS Charges Corps Members On Security

A Representative of the Department of State Security, Mr Bolaji John has shared significant information and tips on how Corps members can always play safe if they encounter dangerous situation.
He highlighted the security issues in Lagos as including; ethical vices among certain ethnic groups and the risk of vehicle hijacking while identifying crime hotspots in areas like Obalende and Ikorodu.
Corps members were also advised to be cautious when boarding public transport and avoid traveling alone at night, especially in unfamiliar areas.

He enjoined Corps members to stay informed about security threats, avoid predictable routines, be cautious of disclosing personal information to strangers, always keep emergency contact available like the Police, DSS etc and avoid risky behaviours.
He said by following these guidelines, corps members can significantly reduce their risk of becoming victims of crime and ensure their personal safety during their service year.
