Dele Momodu Says Wike Introduced Him to Morning Akkeshi Drinking

Veteran journalist and Ovation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, has made a startling claim about the lifestyle of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, accusing him of introducing a daily drinking habit involving strong alcohol.
Momodu made the revelation during an interview on Politics Today, a programme aired by Channels Television on Monday, July 7.
According to the media mogul, Wike introduced him to Akkeshi, a potent Japanese whisky renowned for its peated single malts. He claimed that the minister consumes the whisky every morning before carrying out official duties.
“Wike is consumed by the power he holds. The spirit of power and money is demonic when not managed properly,” Momodu said.
He added, “He drinks early in the morning. He introduced me to Akkeshi, a strong alcohol, saying it helps him function. This is someone in public office.”
Momodu expressed concern over what he described as Wike’s growing dependence on alcohol and the implications of such a habit for someone in a key leadership role.
