BREAKING: Highlife Icon Mike Ejeagha Dies At 95

Renowned Highlife icon Mike Ejeagha, celebrated for turning Igbo folklore and proverbs into captivating music, has died at the age of 95.
Ejeagha passed away around 8 p.m. on Friday night at the 32 Garrison Hospital in Enugu after a prolonged illness.

His eldest son, Emma Ejeagha, confirmed the news in a telephone conversation with Vanguard.
A dominant force on Nigerian airwaves in the 1980s, Ejeagha’s distinctive Igbo folk style left a lasting impact across generations.
