Beloved Basketball Punter Dies Hours After First Hospital Visit

Social media has been flooded with tributes following the untimely death of a young Nigerian man known online as @BasketballProfe, a well-known figure in the sports betting community for his basketball predictions.
Before his passing, the punter had hinted at his declining health, sharing a brief update with his followers that read, “Sick. Won’t be here for now.”
He later posted a photo from a hospital bed, showing his hand with medical tubing secured using cellotape instead of medical plaster—a detail that sparked concern and conversation online. He captioned the image, “First time ever. It is well.”
Tragically, just hours after that post, a close friend confirmed his death. Though the exact cause of his illness was not revealed, his sudden passing has left many shocked and grieving.
Friends, fans, and fellow punters have taken to social media to mourn his death, remembering him for his vibrant personality and passion for the game.
