Bauchi Man Kills Father During Heated Argument in Giade

The Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed that a Bauchi man kills father during a late-night argument that turned deadly in Uzum village, Giade Local Government Area. The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Liman Muhammad Baba, was arrested for allegedly murdering his 80-year-old biological father, Malam Baba Siti, by striking him on the head with a stick.
According to the police spokesman, SP Mohammed Wakil, officers in Giade Division received an emergency call reporting that a man kills father around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. Acting swiftly on the Commissioner of Police’s directive, detectives rushed to the scene and found the victim lying lifeless in a pool of blood.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the heated argument escalated when Liman allegedly hit his father with a stick, causing him to collapse instantly. “The victim was rushed to the General Hospital in Giade, where a medical doctor confirmed him dead on arrival,” Wakil explained. The Bauchi man kills father case has since prompted a comprehensive investigation to uncover all circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Police reports indicate that the suspect was apprehended at the crime scene without resistance. He remains in custody as detectives continue gathering evidence and witness statements. SP Wakil stated that the Bauchi man kills father case will be forwarded to the court as soon as investigations are complete, assuring the public that justice will be served.
This incident has shocked residents of Uzum village and the wider Giade community, underscoring the urgent need for conflict resolution awareness and mental health support to prevent similar tragedies.
