Akowonlehin Urges Lagos Corps Members To Serve With Excellence

The Assistant Director and Head Corps Discipline and Reward branch NYSC Lagos,Mrs Victoria Akowonlehin has urged the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps Members to be committed to serving with dedication and excellence.
She called on them to fulfil their role in nation building diligently.
Mrs. Akowonlehin cautioned against fraudulent activities and stressed the importance of active participation in CDS activities and biometric clearance, emphasizing that the Scheme frowns at indolence and inefficiency.
She highlighted the significance of excellent service delivery,pointing out that they should contribute to the development of their work place.
She also noted that NYSC operations are governed by the NYSC Act and Bye-Laws and encouraged corps members to download them online for a comprehensive understanding of the rules and regulations in order to have a hitch free service year.
She equally reminded corps members to obtain approval from the State Coordinator before traveling outside Lagos State and the Director-General’s approval through the State Coordinator for any international travel.
She however warned against serving by proxy or absenteeism at their Places of Primary Assignment saying”There’s no ghosting in NYSC; we don’t coordinate ghosts.
