The airline emphasized its “unflinching commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety in all our operations.”

As of the time this report was filed, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had not issued a statement regarding the incident.

Sunday’s event brings back memories of a similar occurrence at the same airport in 2019. In May this year, another Air Peace aircraft was grounded at the Asaba International Airport after colliding with an antelope while taxiing, disrupting flight operations.
