The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has announced the commencement of registration for its 2025/2026 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) screening.
According to an official statement signed by the Registrar, Barr. Titus Ifeanyi Igwe, the exercise begins today, Friday, July 18, 2025, and will end on Friday, August 29, 2025.
The screening is open to all candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME and selected AE-FUNAI as their first choice institution. Additionally, candidates are advised to check the minimum departmental cut-off marks for their chosen programmes as some courses require higher scores—for example, Medicine and Surgery (250), Nursing Science (240), and Mass Communication (200).

Important Guidelines
Candidates who did not initially choose AE-FUNAI as their first choice but now wish to apply are also eligible, provided they change their institution and/or course to AE-FUNAI via the JAMB Portal on or before August 29, 2025.
Candidates applying to high-demand programmes like Medicine and Surgery or Nursing Science must have obtained their O’Level results in a single sitting. Also, all applicants must ensure their UTME subject combinations and O’Level requirements align with their desired course of study.
The university emphasized that any false information discovered during the screening process would lead to automatic disqualification.
Additionally, candidates are reminded to upload their O’Level or A’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) as failure to do so will invalidate their application.
Mode of Screening and Payment
The 2025/2026 screening exercise will be conducted through internal assessment of candidates’ academic results, without a computer-based test (CBT).
Eligible applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 and complete the registration process through the AE-FUNAI portal:
- Visit www.funai.edu.ng
- Click on Admissions > 2025/2026 UTME/DE Admission Screening
- Input your JAMB registration number
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Make payment at any bank
- Return to complete the application form and print the acknowledgment slip
