Zuckerberg Outlines Meta’s Ambitious 2025 Plans

In a recent statement, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, outlined an ambitious vision for 2025, highlighting significant advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR) glasses, and social media platforms.
According to Zuckerberg, Meta is on track to make substantial progress in AI, with the company’s AI assistant expected to reach over 1 billion people.
The next generation of Llama, Meta’s large language model, will be natively multimodal, have agentic capabilities, and potentially become the most advanced and widely used AI model.
In addition to AI advancements, Zuckerberg announced that Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses are gaining popularity, and 2025 will be a defining year for understanding their trajectory. The company is also investing heavily in AI infrastructure, including a 2GW AI datacenter.
On the social media front, Zuckerberg expects continued growth for Reels on Instagram and Facebook, as well as Threads becoming the leading discussion platform. WhatsApp is also poised to gain share and make progress toward becoming the leading messaging platform in the US.
Furthermore, Zuckerberg highlighted Meta’s commitment to building the metaverse, with significant investments in visually stunning and inspiring experiences. The company also aims to redefine its relationship with governments, particularly with the current US administration.
Overall, Zuckerberg’s statement suggests that Meta is poised for significant breakthroughs in AI, glasses, and social media, shaping the future of human connection.
