Deborah Moses, a rising interior designer known by her brand name Deb’rah Porsche, was fatally stabbed in Lagos by her ex-boyfriend months after their breakup.

The suspect, identified as Lintex from Otukpo, Benue State, reportedly gained access to Deborah’s estate on Wednesday night by disguising himself as a dispatch rider. When security grew suspicious, he allegedly scaled the perimeter fence to enter the compound.

According to activist Meddy Olotu, the suspect first tried to tamper with the gas pipeline outside Deborah’s apartment, seemingly in an attempt to trigger an explosion. When that failed, he forcibly entered her residence and attacked her with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds that caused her death.

Family sources said Deborah had ended the relationship over a year ago, but Lintex continued to harass her and issue threats. Her sister recounted, “They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow.’”

Deborah had recently completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) assignment and was building her career in interior decoration. “She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” her sister added.

Neighbors overpowered the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police. He is currently in custody as Deborah’s family and human rights groups call for justice, urging authorities to ensure a thorough investigation.
