Global Afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has made history as the first African artist to exceed 9 billion streams across all credits on Spotify.

The Nigerian music icon crossed the milestone on the global streaming platform, cementing his status as one of the most influential and commercially successful African acts in history.

Wizkid’s most streamed song remains the 2016 global hit One Dance, his collaboration with Drake and Kyla, which has racked up a staggering 3.7 billion streams. The track ranks among Spotify’s top 10 most streamed songs of all time and holds a Guinness World Record as the first song to hit 1 billion streams on the platform.
