Viral Video Shows Master’s Degree Holders Applying for Cameraman Job With Streamer Peller

A viral video has stirred conversation online after showing several Master’s degree holders lining up to apply for a cameraman position with popular streamer, Peller.
The role, which offers a monthly salary of ₦500,000, drew a large crowd of highly educated applicants, surprising many on social media.
In the video, Peller is seen engaging with the candidates in a friendly and humorous manner, exchanging greetings and joking with them as they waited for their turn.
While the clip has been widely shared for its lighthearted moments, it has also sparked a serious debate about the state of employment in Nigeria. Some critics argued that applicants with advanced degrees should aim for roles more aligned with their qualifications. Others, however, defended them, pointing to the harsh realities of the job market and the need to pursue any opportunity that offers financial stability.
The incident has once again highlighted the growing disconnect between educational attainment and job availability in the country.
