VeryDarkMan Slams Davido, Wizkid, And Burna Boy Over Lavish Spending Amid National Hardship

Controversial activist VeryDarkMan has taken aim at Nigerian music heavyweights Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, accusing them of flaunting wealth while ignoring the struggles of ordinary Nigerians.

His criticism followed Burna Boy’s recent purchase of a luxury sports car reportedly worth ₦3.5 billion. Reacting on social media, VeryDarkMan condemned the artistes for what he called “empty displays of affluence” in a time when many citizens are battling poverty and economic hardship.

He questioned their impact beyond the glitz and glamour, calling on each artist to reflect on their tangible contributions to their communities. Directing his message specifically at Davido, he asked what the singer has done for his home state of Osun.

“Don’t you people read the room? You people are not the government, but I have to say this. Let me start with you Davido ’cause na you I know well well—na you be my guy. The state where you come from, what can you beat your chest to say that you have done for the people of Osun State?” he said.

He accused the trio of chasing public validation by flaunting cash and luxury lifestyles instead of using their platforms to drive real change.

“All you people do is to show wealth because you know Nigerians worship money. Una go waka for road, them go hail una, una go throw some small small change so that people go feel say una be odogwu,” he said. “You people are nothing. Three of una no get use to us.”
