Activist and social media commentator VeryDarkMan has fired back at Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo following a petition she submitted to the Nigerian Police, accusing him of misconduct during an ongoing investigation into the death of singer Mohbad.

In her petition addressed to the Nigeria Police Force and Commissioner of Police, CP Ifeanyi Uche, Iyabo Ojo alleged that VeryDarkMan—who is currently a defendant in a separate criminal case—was unlawfully allowed into her interrogation room. She claimed he entered uninvited and unannounced while she was being questioned, in what she described as a serious breach of due process.

She also accused CP Uche of having a questionable relationship with VeryDarkMan, claiming the activist, despite being a civilian, has unregulated access to the Commissioner’s office—raising fears of bias and unprofessionalism in the handling of the case.

Reacting via social media, VeryDarkMan dismissed the petition with mockery, writing:

“@nigeriastory this petition na suya paper.”

His response, using the Nigerian slang “suya paper”—a phrase used to describe something worthless—suggests he considers the actress’s petition baseless and unserious.
