Users decry hike percentage on Telecom Tariffs

Despite the country’s economic hardship, the National Communication Commission (NCC) had approved a tariff hike for telecommunications companies last month while MTN, Airtel and GLO have already sent out memos regarding the price increment in their services.
Meanwhile the tariff increase has sparked outrage among MTN subscribers, and Airtel users as many were struggling to come to terms with the new prices.
Although the hike is expected to have a significant impact on individuals and businesses that rely heavily on mobile data for their daily operations.
MTN Nigeria has begun to implement a significant tariff increase on its data plans, leaving many subscribers reeling from the shock seeking more affordable data plans.
However many had taken to social media to pour out their minds and as well hold the government responsible for fixing several tariffs leading to inflation amidst the country’s hardship situation.
