Use Social Media Positively, NYSC Official Urges PCMs

The State coordinator, NYSC Lagos, Mrs Christiana Salmwang, has charged the 2024 Batch “C” Stream II Prospective Corps Members to use the Social Media for positive reasons.
The State Coordinator gave the charge during a briefing at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
She welcomed the corps members and emphasized the importance of their participation in the orientation program.
Mrs. Salmwang encouraged the corps members to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the NYSC, including the Skill Acquisition programme, to acquire essential skills for survival in a challenging job market.
She also stressed the need for discipline and adherence to camp rules, highlighting the NYSC’s zero-tolerance policy for drug abuse.
Salmwang advised the corps members to use social media responsibly and positively. She cautioned them against posting content contradicting the scheme’s activities or policies.
She also warned against joining questionable social media platforms.
Regarding communication, she emphasized the importance of following the proper channel by submitting requests and complaints through their platoon officers to the Camp Director. Mrs. Salmwang also informed them that they will be involved in the camp’s administration to ensure seamless operations.
