Union Bank Begins BVN Verification for YEIDEP N50,000- N500,000 Grant Disbursement

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Empowerment Programme (YEIDEP) has entered its next stage as of October 2025, and this is especially important for beneficiaries linked with Union Bank. According to the latest update, Union Bank has taken the lead in processing and is the first financial institution to complete collation of bank account details for YEIDEP participants.
Now, Union Bank has officially moved to the BVN (Bank Verification Number) verification phase. This step is crucial to ensure that every listed beneficiary is a legitimate applicant and qualifies for the ₦50,000 to ₦500,000 grant payment. The verification is expected to reduce errors and prevent fraudulent claims, making the grant process more transparent and accurate.
If you submitted your details under Union Bank for YEIDEP, it is important to ensure that your BVN matches the information already provided. This includes your name, phone number, and bank details. Any mismatch might lead to delays or removal from the beneficiary list.
The grant is part of a wider national program aimed at reducing youth unemployment and supporting small-scale businesses across Nigeria. Thousands of shortlisted applicants are currently waiting for their payment, and Union Bank’s progress means their group may likely be the first to receive funds soon after successful BVN validation.
Applicants linked to other banks like Access Bank, Zenith, First Bank, and UBA are still in the process of document verification and are expected to move into the BVN check phase in the coming weeks.
To avoid missing out, all applicants should:
- Check if their BVN and bank details match
- Avoid multiple registrations
- Follow official YEIDEP updates on verified platforms
- Stay alert to SMS or email instructions
- The next update will likely include exact payment dates, and Union Bank recipients may be first in line once verification is done.
This development marks a big step forward in the YEIDEP disbursement timeline for October 2025, bringing many young Nigerians one step closer to receiving their government-backed grant support.
Stay tuned for more updates on payment progress and timelines for other banks
