Trump Slams Elon Musk: “I’m Deeply Disappointed” as Epic Feud Ignites

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced his disappointment in Elon Musk, as tensions between the two prominent figures continue to escalate.
Speaking at a recent White House event, Trump criticized Musk’s shifting stance on a major Republican tax and spending bill. “I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here,” Trump said. “He knew everything about it. He had no problem with it.”
Trump suggested that Musk’s sudden opposition to the bill—calling it a “disgusting abomination”—may have been motivated by provisions that threatened to cut subsidies benefiting Tesla and the broader electric vehicle industry.
In response, Musk took to social media to level a serious accusation against Trump, claiming the former president is named in the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files. “That is the real reason they have not been made public,” Musk wrote, without offering any evidence to support the claim.
The fallout from the public spat has also had economic consequences. Tesla’s stock price took a hit, causing the company to lose its place in the elite $1 trillion market capitalization club.
The feud highlights the fragile nature of alliances between political leaders and business moguls, particularly when policy decisions begin to impact corporate interests.
