Troops Raid Kidnapper’s Hideout in Anambra, Arrest Suspect, Recover Weapons

Troops have raided a suspected kidnappers’ hideout in Enugwu-Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, arresting one suspect and recovering a cache of weapons.
The operation, conducted in the early hours of January 30, 2025, was based on credible intelligence.
During the raid, security forces apprehended Chukwudi Tansi, a suspected member of a kidnapping syndicate.
Items recovered are 2 AK-47 rifles , 8pump-action guns, 4 locally made pistols, 101cartridges, 4 empty AK-47 magazines, 3 cutlasses, One Baofeng radio, One motorcycle, Assorted charms.
The successful operation highlights ongoing efforts by security forces to combat kidnapping and armed violence in the region. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to aid ongoing investigations.
