Toke Makinwa Announces She’s Expecting Her First Child

Media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has shared the joyous news that she is expecting her first child.

In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, she revealed her growing baby bump and described motherhood as the most important project of her life.

“The biggest project of my life, the highest calling ever!” she wrote, reflecting on how her life has completely changed. “2025… what a difference a year can make. That was my prophetic declaration entering into the new year. Dear God, You did this one. You opened this door that nobody can shut.”

Expressing gratitude for what she called divine timing, Toke added: “You make all things beautiful in your time and this is just perfect. All that time I thought you had forgotten me, but now I see it. You worked on my heart to get me ready for the biggest blessing and the highest calling. Listen, God is never late, and God can be trusted.”

The award-winning broadcaster described the journey as both humbling and life-changing, saying she has worn many hats in her career, but motherhood surpasses them all. “I’ve worn so many hats over the years but this one trumps it all and I’m so humbled to have been chosen… You get to see me as a mother, I get to raise my own. Na me be this? Hallelujah!”

She affectionately addressed her unborn child as “My bug,” writing: “I cannot wait to meet you. You’ve made me the happiest person on earth. Thank you for choosing me. This whole journey has given me life and you’ve blessed me already. My heart is over the moon!”
