Tinubu Says Late Awujale Predicted His Victory and Second Term

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona, not only predicted his rise to the presidency but also assured him of a second term in office.
Speaking on Sunday at the 8th Day Fidau prayers in honour of the late monarch, Tinubu described the Oba’s blessing as a key force behind his political journey.
“I was successful because of your support and the blessing of the late Awujale. I came to him and he blessed me. And he said, ‘You will win that election and you will be re-elected. Go ahead,’” Tinubu said.
He hailed the late traditional ruler as a man of rare wisdom and commended Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for preserving the legacy of leadership left behind.
In a lighthearted moment, Tinubu thanked the governor for his care and loyalty to the late monarch:
“Okanlomo, eleyi of Ogun State. At this stage, I must mention clearly how much I thanked him for taking care of our father.”
