Tinubu Reinstates Prof. Zabbey As HYPREP Coordinator

President Bola Tinubu has reinstated Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), according to a statement released by the State House.
The President’s decision follows a performance review of the HYPREP Project Coordinator, which concluded that Professor Zabbey is fit to continue discharging his functions in accordance with the regulations guiding the project.
The reinstatement takes immediate effect, according to Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).
This development is seen as a move to restore stability and continuity to the HYPREP project, which aims to remediate the environmental damage caused by hydrocarbon pollution in affected communities.
Professor Zabbey’s reinstatement has been widely welcomed by stakeholders and communities affected by the project.
