Tinubu mourns killing of Soldiers, Lauds Military Response to Borno Attack

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the military and the families of the brave military personnel who tragically lost their lives during the assault no January 4, 2025.
The tragic terrorist attack took place at the Nigerian Army base in Soban Gida, Damboa, Borno State.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the bravery and the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers.
“Their sacrifice in defending our nation will forever be honored and remembered,” he said, underscoring the nation’s indebtedness to those who paid the ultimate price for its security.
The president also praised the Nigerian Army Forces for their quick and decisive response to the attack.
Stating the air component’s effective retaliatory strikes, he highlighted, “This resolute action by the Army demonstrates the capability and readiness of our military to confront and defeat threats to our nation’s security.”
President Tinubu reported that targeted air raids had effectively neutralized a significant number of terrorists and destroyed their assets while they were attempting to escape.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the military, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and banditry, pledging unrelenting support for the armed forces.
