Tinubu forgives Sanwo-Olu after GAC begs for governor

President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, extended an olive branch to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, declaring that he no longer harboured any resentment toward him.
The development emerged during a meeting between the president and members of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC)
The GAC delegation had visited Tinubu to intercede on behalf of Governor Sanwo-Olu and other individuals believed to have fallen out of favour with the president. The delegation was led by GAC chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi, who acknowledged Tinubu’s prior displeasure with certain political figures in the state, especially the governor.
In a heartfelt plea, Olusi urged the president to forgive the perceived transgressions and restore harmony within the ranks of the party in Lagos.
“It’s all over now. All is forgiven,” Tinubu responded, signaling a definitive end to the tension.
The president emphasized that he no longer held any grievances against anyone present at the meeting, including Governor Sanwo-Olu.
In a symbolic act of contrition and respect, Governor Sanwo-Olu and other GAC members reportedly prostrated before the president, sealing the reconciliation with a traditional gesture of humility and atonement.
