Tinubu Arrives Katsina To Receive Buhari’s Remains Ahead Of Burial In Daura

President Bola Tinubu arrived at Katsina Airport around 1:45 p.m. WAT on Tuesday to receive the body of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died in a London hospital on Sunday at the age of 82.
The remains of the late president are expected to be flown in this afternoon aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, for a state burial in his hometown, Daura.
The nation remains in mourning as tributes continue to pour in from within and outside Nigeria, celebrating Buhari’s decades-long service to the country.
Tinubu is leading a federal delegation comprising 25 members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), former heads of state, and international dignitaries who will gather in Daura to pay their final respects.
Buhari will be buried at his private residence in Daura at 2:00 p.m., according to Islamic rites, beginning with the Jana’iza (funeral prayer) before interment.
