Tinubu Appoints Olumode Adeyemi as New Fire Service Controller-General

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Deputy Controller-General Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the new Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), with effect from August 14, 2025.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in an official statement issued by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), and signed by its Secretary, Abdulmalik Jibrin.
“DCG Olumode Samuel Adeyemi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having transferred his service from the FCT Fire Service to the Federal Fire Service and grown to the rank of Deputy Controller-General of Fire in the Human Resource Directorate of the Service Headquarters,” the statement read.
The Board highlighted Adeyemi’s professional journey, noting that he had successfully completed all mandatory in-service training and command courses, both within and outside the country.
“In the course of his career, the Officer has attended and passed all mandatory In-Service trainings, command course, as well as other courses within and outside the country,” the statement added.
He is also affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, the Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management of Nigeria.
The CDCFIB also expressed appreciation to the outgoing Controller-General, Jaji Abdulganiyu, for his service and the significant reforms he introduced during his tenure.
