TikTok Creator Peller Reveals He Left Islam For Christianity Over Childhood Trauma

Popular TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, known to fans as Peller, has revealed that his decision to convert from Islam to Christianity was driven by traumatic experiences he endured during his childhood.
Speaking candidly during a live session with his followers, Peller recalled the harsh treatment he received at a Quranic school — commonly referred to as ‘Ile Kewu’ — where he said he was subjected to severe beatings.
“I’m not a Muslim. I’m a Christian. I go to church,” he said. “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic School. That’s why I stopped going.”
According to him, the physical abuse left lasting emotional scars and ultimately influenced his decision to walk away from Islam entirely.
He added that the trauma not only distanced him from religious education but also played a defining role in his personal and spiritual transformation.
Peller’s revelation comes shortly after his engagement went viral on social media, following confirmation of his relationship by his fiancée.
