Security has been intensified in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit for the official reception of Governor Umo Eno into the All Progressives Congress (APC), scheduled for Saturday.

The high-profile event will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium and will be hosted by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, with APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje also in attendance.

Governor Eno officially joined the APC on June 6, 2025, during a ceremony at the banquet hall of the Akwa Ibom State Government House, where he was received by Imo State Governor and Progressive Governors’ Forum Chairman, Hope Uzodimma.
