Thomas Partey Charged with Five Counts of Rape After Arsenal Exit

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape, just days after becoming a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the Premier League club.
According to authorities, Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and an additional count of sexual assault. The allegations involve three women and are connected to incidents that allegedly occurred between 2021 and 2022.
Details from the investigation reveal that two of the rape charges involve one woman, while three others involve a second complainant. The sexual assault charge pertains to a third woman.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, where the full charges will be formally addressed.
This development has shocked the football community, especially as Thomas Partey, charged with five counts of rape, had been expected to secure a move after leaving Arsenal.
The legal process is ongoing, and Partey being charged with five counts of rape marks one of the most serious criminal allegations involving a high-profile footballer in recent years.
