Tems Fires Back at Troll Over Body-Shaming Comment on X

Nigerian singer Tems has fired back at a troll who attempted to downplay her physique on social media platform X.
The drama began after a user quoted a video of the singer, saying, “Real one knows she just have big laps not actual ass.”
Tems, known for her calm demeanor, didn’t hold back this time. In a lengthy and passionate clapback, she addressed the ongoing obsession with her body:
“Okay, 7 years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird. ‘It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat.’
Dog, IT’S MINE. ‘Show us your bumbum’ lol so me too I will turn and say ‘see 🥰’ Nah, show ME yours first?? See how that feels?
It’s just a body. I will add and lose weight. I never once hid my body, I just didn’t feel the need to prove or disprove anyone.
The more you don’t like my body, the better for me actually. But it’s enough now. Move on from my bum.”

Tems’ response quickly went viral, sparking praise from fans and fellow artists who applauded her for standing up to online body shaming.
This isn’t the first time the Grammy-winning artist has pushed back against unrealistic expectations. In 2022, she made headlines for defending her creative choices and style, saying, “I didn’t come here to uphold your beliefs about God. I will not fit into this box you try to put me in.”
Once again, Tems has made it clear: her body is not up for debate — and she’s not here to entertain unsolicited opinions.
