At the festival’s grand closing ceremony at the Moshood Abiola Sports Complex, Delta was officially crowned champions after securing an impressive total of 337 medals — 126 gold, 100 silver, and 111 bronze. This marks Delta’s fifth consecutive victory and ninth overall triumph in the history of the National Sports Festival.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori celebrated the achievement, dedicating the win to the state’s commitment to youth development under his administration’s MORE Agenda.
“This is not just about medals; it’s about building lives and inspiring hope,” the governor said. “The MORE Agenda has opened doors for our youths to thrive through sports, and this win is proof of what is possible when leadership meets action.”
