TCN assures improvement in electricity supply

The Kano Regional office of the Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN has reassured commitment towards the improvement of electricity in the region.
The General Manager of TCN Kano Regional Office Engineer Mohammed Bashir Gote disclosed this while briefing the media in Kano.
He said in the quest to ensure adequate improvement of electricity, the management of TCN has awarded several contract with a view to generate more Megawatts of electricity.
The General Manager maintained that TCN has successifully completed the construction of 2/150mva 330/132kv and 260mva 132/33kV transmission station at Rimin Zakara Kano.
Other projects that were completed which yielded positive results in ensuring adequate imoprovement of electricity supply includes Installation and Commissioning of 150MVA 330/132kV Power transformer in Kumbotso, Installation of 132/33kV Power transformer at Bichi
“We’ve also succeded in installing 60MVA 132/33kV Power transmission at Hadejia”, he said.
Engineer Mohammad Bashir Gote maintained that in an effort to ensure effective transmission of electricity supply in Kano region over 17 projects were currently ongoing, stressing that they would soon be completed.
“The ongoing projects includes Installation of 300MVA 330/132kV power transformer at Kumbotso, installation of 100MVA 132/33kV power transformer at Dakata, Installation of power transformer at Kankia, and construction of Dakata and Hadejia 132kV Line bays at Dakata ts among others”, he stated.
